Boracay is the Philippines’ most famous resort island, with White Beach ranked among “Asia’s most beautiful beaches.” This guide helps you avoid the peak tourist crowds and experience the island the way locals recommend.

6-Day 5-Night Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Boracay, Caticlan Pier Fly into Caticlan Airport and take a 15-minute ferry to the island. Check into a resort near Station 2 (most convenient). Spend the afternoon swimming at White Beach Station 1 and catch the most stunning sunset in the Philippines.

Day 2: Mount Luho Sunset Climb Mount Luho — at 100 m it’s the highest point on Boracay. The golf course below makes for a spectacular photo backdrop. At sunset, looking out from the summit over the entire White Beach and its gradient-coloured sea is breathtaking.

Day 3: Crystal Cove Island Hopping Board an outrigger boat and hop over to Crystal Cove — two private islets with natural caves and crystal-clear water. The tour includes snorkelling at the Coral Garden and lunch. A second stop at Puka Shell Beach is ideal for collecting shells.

Day 4: Bat Cave + D’Mall Morning: explore the Bat Cave (near Puka Beach), with caverns you can crawl into. Afternoon: wander around D’Mall. Dinner recommendation: Hawaiian BBQ’s pork ribs are outstanding.

Day 5: Free Day Recommended experiences: helicopter island tour (15 minutes, about $80), kiteboarding lessons, or simply lounging on White Beach. In the evening, catch the fire show at Club Paraw.

Day 6: Departure

Island-Hopping Price Reference

Book through a local travel agent — high season is roughly ₱1,500–2,500 per person and includes the boat, snorkelling gear, and lunch. Avoid the street touts near Station 2 who sometimes add on extra charges.

Staying Connected in the Philippines

4G coverage on Boracay is good. Airalo offers a Philippines plan at 3 GB for $8, or choose Saily’s Southeast Asia plan at 10 GB for $15 — better value if you’re visiting multiple countries.
